In my opinion, probably the best Chinese fried dough I've had. They're huge, very fresh, crispy on the outside and light on the inside. Their other dishes were nice, too; pork buns were nicely flavoured with a fluffy dough, bean curd was soft and not overly sweet. The chicken wings were a tad too salty and they didn't heat it up properly so it was still a bit cold in the middle. Their menu is quite extensive, I'd like to try some more but would most definitely return just for the fried dough. Staff were pretty good and the restaurant was relatively clean.

I had a fantastic dining experience at this Chinese restaurant. The food was incredibly flavorful, well-seasoned, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. Every dish offered a wonderful balance of taste, texture, and aroma, capturing the essence of traditional Chinese cooking. What impressed me the most was the attention to detail in both the preparation and presentation. The meals arrived hot, beautifully arranged, and bursting with authentic flavors — from savory and spicy to sweet and umami-rich. It’s the kind of food that’s comforting yet exciting with every bite. The service was excellent — staff were polite, knowledgeable, and eager to ensure we had a great experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a cozy interior that made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for a truly satisfying and authentic Chinese meal, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be coming back again soon!

I had an amazing dining experience at Gaoshifu NZ Bibimbap. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and truly exceeded expectations. We started with the Spicy Hesitation—the name caught my attention, but the taste kept me hooked. Perfectly balanced spice and aroma, not overwhelming but enough to wake up your palate. The Cold Noodles were refreshing and chewy, with just the right amount of sesame and garlic notes to make it incredibly addictive. The highlight for me was the Golden Soup Fatty Beef. The broth was rich, slightly tangy, and so comforting. The beef slices were tender and soaked up all the flavors—this paired beautifully with steamed rice. We also tried the Cheese Tteokbokki Chicken, which brought a Korean twist. The rice cakes were soft and chewy, and the cheese added a wonderful creamy finish without being too heavy. The restaurant itself is clean and inviting, with a cozy atmosphere that makes it perfect for both casual lunches and group dinners. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcomed throughout. Overall, I’d highly recommend Gaoshifu NZ Bibimbap to anyone craving authentic flavors with generous portions. Must-try dishes: Spicy Hesitation, Golden Soup Fatty Beef, and Cheese Tteokbokki Chicken.

The restaurant has been renovated and looks a lot modern. We ordered the Deep fried dough sticks with soy bean milk, Changsha stinky Tofu, Taiwan braised beef noodles, Spiced noodle with spicy beef and Saliva chicken. All very tasty and great value. The only downside for this area is the lack of parking

Always come here when crave for Chinese style soy milk breakfast. Thick-texture, savory, with fried Youtiao stick.

A colleague of mine recommended this place for their amazing You Tiao (fried dough). The interior of the restaurant is quite authentic to what you would experience in Asia, however the food is top notch and reminds my Shanghainese husband of home. The price is more affordable than central Auckland and North shore, I would definitely return again and make it my regular place for authentic Chinese breakfast.
